Dan Barrett has played both the valve and slide trombone for films including The Cotton Club and Brighton Beach Memoirs. He has performed at Carnegie Hall with Woody Herman and Joe Bushkin.
SIMON WETTENHALL - Trumpet
Simon Wettenhall migrated from Australia to the United States in 1975. After an early apprenticeship playing the music of New Orleans, his musical horizons broadened to include all forms of collective improvisation.
JOHN GILL - Drums
John Gill performed for twelve years with the Turk Murphy Jazz Band and has played Preservation Hall in New Orleans.
CYNTHIA SAYER - Piano
Cynthia Sayer is internationally acclaimed as one of the leading jazz banjoists, and is also well known for her vocal, acting and multi-instrumental talents. Ms. Sayer did the music for The Purple Rose of Cairo.
GREG COHEN - Bass
Greg Cohen's credits include albums of works of Dagmar Krause, Tom Waits, Kurt Weill, David Sanborn and Holly Cole.
EDDY DAVIS - Banjo and Band Leader
Eddy Davis is the Musical Director of The Bunk Project and is the founder of The Turn of the Century Minstrels and the New York Society for the Preservation of Illegitimate Music. Davis has performed with such jazz greats as Turk Murphy, The Dukes of Dixieland and Wild Bill Davidson. He can also be heard on Leon Redbone's albums. |
