Unfortunately, we are unable to accept unsolicited screenplays or pitches. Our best advice to the aspiring screenwriter is to find an agent to represent you and your work. Your agent can present your screenplays to Fine Line and other studios.
HOW DO I SUBMIT A FINISHED FILM OR A FILM IN-PROGRESS TO FINE LINE?
If you have a completed film or are already underway with production, we would be happy to receive an invitation to view your work. If you have a finished film, or a film in production that you would like Fine Line to view for possible acquisition, you can contact us here. Please remember that we are unable to accept unsolicited screenplays or pitches, and that this e-mail address should be used only to invite us to view finished films or production in progress. HOW DO I RENT A FINE LINE FILM FOR MY CLUB, UNIVERSITY, OR GROUP?
If you would like to show one of Fine Line's previous releases on campus, or in any other group setting, please contact Criterion at 800-890-9494. They handle all non-theatrical showings of our movies on videotape, 16mm or 35mm. They will be able to discuss rental fees and other issues with you.
WHEN WILL A PARTICULAR FINE LINE FILM COME TO MY AREA?
Many of Fine Line's movies open first in New York and Los Angeles, and open in additional cities a few weeks later. Each of our film sites has a link to a Theaters page that shows all the current theaters playing that film. Whenever future dates are set, we also include an upcoming cities list as well so you can see when a movie will come to your area. Please visit the Theaters page once a week to see what new cities have been added to the list.
WHEN WILL A PARTICULAR MOVIE COME OUT ON VIDEO OR DVD?
Most of our films come out on video and DVD between 6 and 12 months after the first theatrical release. We post video release information on all of our film sites on the day that the date is officially set. Please visit the site for the film you are insterested about once a week so you can find the video information as soon as it's posted.
